CWA Local 7102 Endorse
Jennifer Konfrst for Congress
This is Konfrst’s third labor union endorsement in as many weeks
Des Moines, IA - Communication Workers for America (CWA) Local 7102
announced their endorsement of Jennifer Konfrst's campaign for
Iowa’s Third Congressional district as she challenges Congressman
Zach Nunn.
This endorsement is Konfrst’s third union endorsement in this
race, with CWA Local 7102 joining Teamster Local 90 and Plumbers and
Steamfitters 33 as local unions in Iowa’s Third Congressional
district backing her campaign as the best choice to beat Zach Nunn and
deliver for working class Iowans.
“CWA 7102 is proud to endorse Jennifer Konfrst’s campaign
for Congress,” said CWA Local 7102 Secretary-Treasurer and
Legislative Chair Mark Rocha. “She’s been a strong voice
for unions and working people, and she’s ready . Whether it’s at the statehouse or on the picket line, we know Jennifer has always had the back of working Iowans and I know she’ll have our backs in Congress.” “I’m honored to have the endorsement and support of CWA Local 7102,” said Jennifer Konfrst. “I’m a third generation union member and unions like CWA helped build my family’s foundation– I know
they need a partner in Congress who is willing to stand up for them
every day and is ready to make working people, not donors or corporate
interests, the core of their campaign.” Konfrst is an active
member of AAUP (the American Association of University Professors), an
affiliate of AFT (the American Federation of Teachers) and the only
union member in this race. She's running for
Congress to make sure working Iowans have a voice who knows their
struggles in Washington and will fight to protect union rights, raise
wages, lower costs, create good-paying jobs, and root out the corporate
greed and corruption that's rigging our economy against them.
Jennifer is a
mom, educator, union member, and life-long Iowan. She flipped her state
house seat red to blue in 2018 and led the Iowa House Democrats as
minority leader starting in 2021. Now, she’s ready to take on
Zach Nunn and take back IA-03 to fight for working families.
